Step 1: Quality control of dredged sediment

The dredged sediment is characterised before being taken to the centre in order to determine which treatment lines are appropriate. This characterisation is done according to procedures clearly spelt out in the law (sampling, parameters to analyse, etc.).

For this operation, SEDISOL does its own tests and contracts out to outside laboratories approved by Wallonia's environmental authorities.
